South African passport holders require a visa to travel to the Republic Of Ireland from July 10.
Transitional arrangements are in place until August 9.
This means travellers who made travel arrangements before July 10 can still travel visa-free until August 9 provided they show proof that their flight booking was made before July 10.
Applicants making travel bookings and arrangements from July 10 onwards need to apply for a visa.
You must apply for a visa from your home country or a country where you are a legal resident. You can prepare your application at least 3 months before you travel.
